Dear America

You are a majestic place. In the beginning, people came to your shores seeking freedom mostly from religious persecution. Ultimately, they were colonized by the super power of their day, but they rebelled. They rebelled against a government imposed on them from afar. It oppressed their freedom and stole their wealth. When they declared independence from this oppressive government led by its mortal king, it was with acknowledgment before God and the world that men are endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights. In the declaration, they appealed to the “Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude” of their intentions. They further affirmed “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence”, to mutually pledge to each other their Lives, their Fortunes and their sacred Honor.

The men who founded the United States of America, appealed to God for the righteousness of their intentions and asked for divine intervention. Because of this reliance on and trust in God, and for no other reasons, God blessed you and made you the freest and most prosperous nation in the history of nations.

You became a beacon of light to the world’s un-free. You sacrificed lives of your sons and daughters and your wealth to free people in other nations. You conquered other lands only to return them to free people.

People again came to your shores seeking freedom with a hope of better lives and a chance to prosper. When they arrived, they found a place unique in world history. It was an exceptional place. A land with no mortal kings. A land governed by the people. A land where anyone could pursue his dreams. Divine providence was evident.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

From the great oceans, across your great plains, over your majestic mountains and into your sprawling cities, darkness crept over your land. It started when government took God and prayer from school children. It continued when government condoned taking the lives of the unborn and the glorification of sexual immorality. Many of your people turned from God and embraced evil while your government was subtly stealing their freedom.

You are not a perfect nation. Perfection is not attainable in this world. You have wounds from past atrocities to your own people that some do not want to let heal. They profit from rubbing salt into those wounds. Your people chose a leader on a promise, on mortal hope, to once and for all to heal those wounds and unite your people. His actions achieved the opposite of his promise.

Before your people chose this leader, he had already declared his belief that you were not a Christian nation.

“Whatever we once were, we’re no longer a Christian nation.” Barrack Hussein Obama, United States Senator

America, if you are no longer a Christian nation, what must you be? The leader you chose traveled the world prostrating himself before leaders of other nations apologizing for America. In double speak, he declared that there is no American Exceptionalism. There is nothing that sets you apart from tyranny and failed societies. In his view, there is nothing special about America.

“I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.” Barrack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America

He appeared before a world body and did not defend your God given freedoms. Instead, he condemned their use and declared:

“The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.” Barrack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America

The timeless battle continues. One must ask what has the prophet or Islam brought his followers when compared to what the God of Christianity has brought to His.

Instead of vigorously defending the God given freedom that made you a great nation, your leader rejected the Christian God before the world and submitted your people to Islam.

“You shall have no other gods before me.” Exodus 20:3 (NIV)

America, the most blessed nation man has ever witnessed, you must turn back to God and fight the evil that has a death grip on the throat of your people. You must again seek the protection of divine Providence or this world’s last free place will end.

But know that men may inhabit a land, they may destroy its government, but they can never destroy the spirit God has written on the hearts of free men.

With my utmost respect,

A Native Son
