Socialism Verses Our Democracy

Seen lots of conversations, mostly borderline, “I hate you…” type discussions because the two (or more) in the discussion come from opposing viewpoints. Not sure when it became a, “You disagree with me so I have the right to hate you…” society but obviously that’s where we’re at.
I think it boils down to two things.

1 – Education – Not that someone lacks education but rather they have accepted disinformation and redirection as education. Most educational institutions detest opposing ideas. We used to have “Debate” classes where two sides discussed opposing views. Approach an institution today with an opposing view and you will get run off the property; that is if they allow you on the property at all. Very few possess the ability to discuss an idea and agree to disagree and walk away friends. It’s, “You agree with me or you’re a racist bigoted lunatic that deserves to die.”

2 – Ignorance – Most will agree there is a difference between education and ignorance. A person learns so they will not be ignorant. But nobody is ignorant anymore, or so they think. The fact is, we are all ignorant, but tell someone they are ignorant on a particular topic and you would be treated kinder if you would have questioned their parental origins.

Case in point:

Very few batted an eye when they read the title of this narrative, “Socialism Verses Our Democracy” seems a simple enough title. If you have no issue with the title then you are ignorant and lack even the most basic understanding of our Government. Or at least what our Government is as explained in the U.S. Constitution. We are not now, nor have we ever been a Democracy, we are a Republic. If you are unfamiliar with the difference then I question your ability to vote with a clear understanding of what you are voting for.

Socialism and a Republic do not mix. Islam and a Republic do not mix. You may wonder why I threw a religion in the mix, but you must understand, Islam is a religion yes, but it is also a form of totalitarian government; there is no “Separation of Church & State” with Islam, they are one and the same. So, an Islamic Government and a Republic do not mix.

I read a post from someone that said, “Even if a socialist is voted in as the U.S. President it will not change our government.” I’m paraphrasing a bit but that’s the gist of his comment; dumbest thing I have ever read. Well, I’ve read dumber comments, but at least the dumbest I read that day.

I’ll end this as most have already stopped reading because I have demonstrated a level of intolerance they cannot abide. I, along with tens of thousands of other men and women, to include every member of our elected government, took an oath and stated, without reservation, to, “…support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…” You cannot support and defend the U.S. Constitution if you are a Socialist or Islam. Both those belief systems are in direct contradiction of what the U.S. Constitution stands for.

So, if you ever see me post a comment that is against Socialism, Islam, or Communism for that matter, I am just abiding by the oath that I took way back in 1972, and in 1982, and again in 2007. Oaths of office may not be in vogue these days, but my oath matters and my word is all I have… that and a wonderful wife.
